Main Window Marcus Restaurant - Four Seasons Montreal
Local Montreal-based artists to give their interpretation of chef Marcus Samuelsson's culinary vision and his love of seafood, inherited from his childhood in Sweden while respecting the aesthetic of Zébulon Perron who designed the interior spaces of the Four Seasons Montreal.
This work reconstructed the different parts of the installation through the artistic vision of Mexican-born artist Maria Ezcurra. The real hanging fish fillets and placemats symbolize Chef Marcus Samuelsson’s cuisine and love of sea products. Simultaneously, the tubular nets reflect Maria Ezcurra’s vision of connections, collectivity, and sustainability. The mirrors covering the walls allow the public to reflect and acknowledge its personal and social responsibilities as consumers.
